Old Interlock Optimum Mortise Replaced with Yale 3109A Digital Lock

We recently upgraded an older Interlock Optimum mortise lock with a 40mm backset to a Yale 3109A digital door lock with a 60mm backset on an aluminium door.

This type of replacement is not always a simple swap, as the old mortise and the new digital lock use different backsets and drilling positions. Careful measuring and tidy preparation are important to make sure the new lock fits properly, operates smoothly, and leaves a clean finish on the door.

For this installation, the Yale 3109A was fitted neatly to the existing aluminium door, giving the entrance a more modern look and the convenience of keyless entry. The Yale 3109A supports PIN code access and RFID key tags, making it a practical option for everyday home use.
