Yale Libi Keyed Digital Deadbolt Installed to Make This Door Lockable

In this job, the customer had a passage mortice door handle already fitted, which worked well as a handle but did not provide any locking function.

To make the door lockable, we added a Yale Libi Keyed Digital Deadbolt above the existing handle. This was a fresh installation, so we started from scratch by drilling new holes in the door and frame to suit the Yale Libi deadbolt.

The Yale Libi deadbolt is a simple and cost-effective keypad deadbolt, ideal for customers who want keyless entry without going for a more advanced smart lock. It offers PIN code access, while still keeping a physical key override for backup.

 Because the existing passage mortice handle could stay in place, this was a tidy and practical upgrade. The door now keeps the same handle style but gains the extra security and convenience of a digital deadbolt. 

This type of setup is a good option for many NZ homes where the existing handle still works fine, but the door needs a simple way to lock.
