Schlage Artus Replaced with Yale Unity Slim Smart Lock and Extended Faceplate

In this recent installation, we replaced an existing Schlage Artus lock with a Yale Unity Slim Smart Lock, using a 300mm Yale extended forend plate (faceplate) for Unity Slim to achieve a clean and tidy finish.

 

The Yale Unity Slim is a great option for exposed entrance doors, making it a practical option for many New Zealand homes where the lock may be exposed to weather. It offers convenient keyless entry while maintaining a neat, modern look on the door. In this case, the extended plate helped cover the existing mortise cut-outs left by the Schlage Artus. 

Compatibility always depends on the existing door preparation, lock cut-outs, backset, and door condition.
